Minitu Terms Of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-13
Minitu helps adults meet globally, make friends, and discover social connections through conversation. These terms describe access to the service, account responsibilities, safety expectations, and related legal pages.
Who Can Use Minitu
Minitu is intended for adults 18 and older. Do not use the app if you are under 18 or if you are not allowed to use social networking services where you live. You must provide accurate age and account information and must not create an account for another person without permission.
Your Account
You are responsible for protecting your password, device, and account access; keeping account information reasonably accurate; and promptly contacting Minitu if you believe the account has been compromised. You may not sell, transfer, automate, scrape, or share account access in a way that harms users or the service.
User Content
You are responsible for the text, photos, voice messages, posts, comments, profile details, and chat content you share. You grant Minitu the worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license needed to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, translate where requested, moderate, adapt for technical delivery, and otherwise operate that content as part of the service. This license ends when the content and associated backups are deleted, except to the extent a limited copy must be retained for safety, legal, dispute, or technical reasons.
You keep ownership of your content and represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and share it. You must respect copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, and other rights. Send intellectual-property complaints to support@minitu.app with the work, location, ownership basis, contact information, and a good-faith explanation.
Synthetic Practice Profiles
Minitu may include clearly disclosed synthetic practice profiles that help users learn discovery, profile galleries, language exercises, and safety tools. Their names, biographies, locations, activity indicators, compatibility, and AI-generated portraits are fictional. They are not real members and cannot form a real-world relationship. Some provide a limited, predetermined language exercise; none is an open-ended chatbot. Minitu must not present these profiles as real people.
Translations
Minitu may offer on-demand chat translation when a user taps Translate. If a translation provider such as Google Cloud Translation is configured, the selected message text, source language, and target language may be sent to that provider. Translations can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Always use your own judgment before relying on translated text, and use View Original when meaning matters.
Free Access And Optional Subscriptions
Minitu includes a Free plan. In compatible iOS versions and supported regions, users can optionally subscribe to Plus or Premium through Apple's in-app purchase system. Available plans, features, limits, billing periods, and the full localized price appear in Plans before purchase. Monthly subscriptions are billed each month. A three-month subscription is billed for the full three-month period; any monthly equivalent is only a comparison. Older free-only versions may not show subscription controls.
Billing, Renewal, Changes, And Cancellation
Apple processes purchases using the user's Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period unless renewal is cancelled through Apple. The Apple confirmation sheet and subscription-management screen control the applicable price, billing date, renewal conditions, tax, and storefront currency. Minitu does not promise a free trial or introductory offer unless Apple displays that offer and its terms.
To stop future renewal or change a plan or billing period, use Manage subscription in Minitu, open Apple Subscriptions, or use iPhone Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Selecting another plan or Free inside Minitu does not itself purchase, change, or cancel an Apple subscription. Turning off renewal normally preserves access through a paid period that remains active; expiration, refund, revocation, billing issues, and other verified Apple changes can change access.
Restore, Refunds, And Account Deletion
Restore Purchases checks eligible Apple purchases for the signed-in Apple Account and Minitu account. It is not a new purchase and does not make an expired subscription active. If access is missing, use Restore Purchases or contact support rather than buying again to troubleshoot. Eligible Apple-billed charges can be submitted to Apple's refund-request site; Apple evaluates those requests under its applicable terms and a refund is not guaranteed.
Deleting the app, signing out, or deleting a Minitu account does not cancel Apple billing. Cancel renewal with Apple separately to stop future charges. A user may still request immediate Minitu account deletion without waiting for a paid period to end.
Community Rules
Minitu's full community rules are published at Community Guidelines. In short: be real, be respectful, protect minors, avoid sexual pressure or explicit content, do not scam or impersonate, and respect boundaries.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use Minitu to exploit or endanger a child; distribute child sexual abuse material; groom, traffic, threaten, stalk, dox, blackmail, harass, or discriminate; share non-consensual intimate imagery; promote terrorism or credible violence; sell illegal or regulated goods; scam, spam, phish, impersonate, evade blocks or enforcement, introduce malware, scrape personal data, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or violate applicable law or another person's rights.
Safety Controls
The app includes profile visibility, message privacy, safety mode, hide, report, block, mute, photo report, message report, and internal moderation tools. The full safety overview is available at Safety Center.
Enforcement
Minitu may hide, remove, review, restore, restrict, suspend, or delete profiles, posts, comments, messages, photos, or accounts that appear unsafe, fake, abusive, illegal, or incompatible with these terms or the Community Guidelines. Automated tools may hold content for review, but users can request human review by contacting support. Minitu may preserve limited evidence, notify affected users where appropriate, report suspected child exploitation or other unlawful conduct to competent authorities, and cooperate with valid legal process.
Minitu may act without advance notice when delay could harm a person, the community, or the service. Otherwise, Minitu will provide reasonable notice of material account restrictions when legally and operationally possible. Appeals may be sent to support@minitu.app.
Privacy And Vendors
Minitu processes data according to the Privacy Policy. Vendors and subprocessors are listed at Vendor and Subprocessor List.
Account Access And Deletion
You are responsible for your account access and device. You can delete your account in the app from Profile > Settings > Privacy & account or request deletion at Minitu Account Deletion.
Third-Party Services
The service relies on hosting, media, email, push-notification, moderation, translation, and biometric-verification providers described in the Privacy Policy and Vendor List. Their services may be subject to separate terms. Minitu is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its control, but remains responsible for selecting and directing its processors as required by applicable law.
Service Availability And Changes
Minitu is an actively maintained production service. Features, limits, eligibility, and availability may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, safety, provider failures, or legal reasons. Minitu may discontinue a feature or the service after reasonable notice when practical. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated in the app or through another reasonable channel and may require renewed acceptance.
Storefront availability may vary by platform and country. Additional storefronts may be enabled after Minitu reviews the legal, privacy, safety, consumer, and operational requirements that apply in those territories.
Service Disclaimer
Minitu is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. Minitu does not guarantee a match, friendship, identity, background, translation, verification result, uninterrupted service, or that every user will follow the rules. Verification is not a government-identity or background check. Minitu is not a substitute for professional advice, mental-health support, emergency help, or in-person safety judgment. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Responsibility And Liability
You remain responsible for your interactions and should use reasonable safety precautions before sharing information or meeting anyone. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minitu is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for conduct of another user. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. You agree to be responsible for losses and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful content, misuse of the service, or violation of another person's rights, to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Applicable Law And Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without removing mandatory consumer or privacy protections that apply where you live. Before filing a claim, contact support@minitu.app so the parties can try to resolve it informally. Any court proceeding must be brought before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive a user's non-waivable right to seek relief from a regulator, consumer authority, or court.
General Terms
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not assign your account or these Terms without permission; Minitu may assign them as part of a lawful reorganization, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and required notice. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines form the agreement governing the service.
